The World Economic Forum (WEF) has written an impressive insight into Cybersecurity threat trends as we gallop towards 2030.
The article addresses the technological advances in Cybersecurity but also highlights that so do the skills of Cyber Criminals who are on the continual lookout for system vulnerabilities that they then go on to exploit.
All corporates or those with a threat profile need to understand Cyber risks and plan now to "future-proof" their protocols. The WEF article seeks to outline the trends which they believe will shape the Cyber space in years to come.
In the article, constructed by Joanna Bouckaert - Community Lead, Centre for Cybersecurity, World Economic Forum together with Ann Cleaveland - Executive Director, Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity, UC Berkeley and Matthew Nagamine - Manager of Strategic Partnerships, Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity, UC Berkeley they go on to explain that In order to disrupt a country, halt major commercial flows or make important financial gains, hackers usually look for vulnerabilities that have not yet been discovered. The constant technological evolution is a catalyst for them to find new flaws to exploit.
They go on to point out that in a fast-evolving digital ecosystem, decision-makers in government, industry, academia, and civil society need to anticipate and address tomorrow’s cybersecurity challenges to stay ahead of the curve. Learn More /...
